Expert fire remediation of an occupied residential building
Set within London’s iconic Docklands, our Streamlight Tower project is a striking new 24 floor luxury residential development standing over 269 ft high.
The project consists of over 9000 sqm across three stunning buildings, all fully remediated and replaced with A- rated products. They are a striking showcase of what can be achieved through excellent collaboration, craftmanship and determination.
We were contracted by Higgins Partnerships to design, supply and install an innovative facade solution for Streamlight Tower, Alberta Court and Maple House to meet the highest fire-protection standards, whilst maintaining the aesthetic appeal of the existing buildings.
The three towers were the largest stone replacement facade projects undertaken in the UK at the time of construction, now complete they fit effortlessly into the Canary Wharf skyline.
Scope
Working with Cosentino we were able to produce bespoke Dekton panels to precisely replicate the previous facade and wrap all buildings with an engineered facade solution. For a more in-depth look please follow link below to view the case study produced by Cosentino.
On Streamlight Tower, MKF also delivered the Kalzip roof replacement, specialist access equipment, roof walkways, Valcan Vitradual floor slab spandrels, balcony fascia and PPC aluminium soffits.
